What to do - Toothache
Toothache can be due to a variety of reasons. Common problems that can cause toothache are decay, gum infection, infection or inflammation of the tooth nerve tissue, abscess, fractured or broken tooth etc. Sometimes it can be a combination of problems.
On odd occasions, problems with sinusitis, or an ear infection can also produce a toothache.
Taking a dose of over the counter pain-killers such as Ibuprofen can help with reducing the toothache, but it is always sensible to consult a dentist to treat the cause of the problem as soon as possible.
The causes of toothache will always get worse if left untreated.
